Wendy Fong Nominated for Spotlight Award

Wendy Fong, Operations Manager for the Department's Surgical Skills Center, was recently nominated by Dr. Edward Kim, Director of the Center and colorectal surgeon, for a Department of Surgery Spotlight Award: 

"As the coordinator for the UCSF Surgical Skills Center Wendy Fong has been an invaluable member of our team. She keeps us organized and on track and manages her administrative and technical duties with remarkable efficiency. More recently she has demonstrated her creativity and initiative by developing a superior suturing and knot tying board using ceramic tiles and suction cups. This simple and elegant apparatus has already received rave reviews from our interns and students and it solves all of the annoying problems we have had with other models. Thanks Wendy!"
